Motion duck decoys can create life-like and realistic appearance to your decoy spread when you're faced with challenging hunting conditions as listed above and can certainly make a difference between a bad day and great day. Quiver decoys, motorized duck butt decoys, Mallard Machine, and spinner decoys are great choices.
Placement Tips:Whether we're using spinning wing decoys, quiver magnets, or a jerk string we have observed time and time again ducks that are committed to the decoys will key in on the motion decoys. This is why we always want your motion decoy/s well within shot gun range. For us this means we're going to place our motion decoys in the landing zone and the edges of the landing zone. When cross-winding the ducks we always place our motion decoys on the upwind side of the landing zone. This encourages the ducks to sweep all the way across the decoys so that everybody in the blind has good shooting.
